Hello, I’m Erwin Lustig, a contemporary artist from Amersfoort, The Netherlands. I create surrealistic artworks inspired by the beauty and vulnerability of nature. I do this by blending photography with photo editing, 3D modeling, and digital drawing, all without the intervention of AI.

From a young age, I’ve been brimming with creative ideas. In my head, my creative ideas were all over the place, and I wrote down every idea I had. I still have that list of ideas, which keeps getting longer, and nowadays, I turn many of my ideas into actual artworks.
I’ve had a hard time for a significant part of my youth. I moved a lot, had a less than pleasant home situation, and was often alone. In places I knew no one, I killed time by working out my creative ideas, and I dove head-first into mastering digital design programs. Hours and days on end, I practiced digital photo editing, 3D modeling, and digital drawing. A world in which I could completely lose myself, in the most positive sense of the word.
At the age of 17, I decided to only go for what I wanted and take control of my life. This led me to drop out of high school and enroll in a program at a Dutch art school, a place where I learned even more about my passions.
After completing two studies and dedicating all that time to digital art, I started working in the corporate world. The work life and living on my own felt like a breath of fresh air. I could now spend all day working on creative ideas. After a considerable time in the corporate world, I decided to do what I did at 17 again: choose for myself and go for what I really want.
Choosing for myself again a few years ago, has resulted in the surrealistic art I make today. Through my art, I share my own stories, and the vulnerability and beauty of nature, people, and animals. Browse through my website, contact me if you want to know more about me or my artworks, and create your own story with my art.
